A quartet of runners represented Ellesmere Port at the Rhyl 5k Road Race, incorporating the North Wales 5k Championships on Wednesday 31st May. With everyone working hard into a stiff wind on the return leg of the out and back course, Steve Crow finished 3rd overall behind Clive West of Buckley Runners  and winner Ian Houston, Wrexham AC. The winner of the Lady’s race was Nicola Bird of Ellesmere Port finishing 24th overall in 18:24, sharing the same time but finishing one place ahead was Chris Marshall. Matt Whitfield was the clubs fourth runner.

The Wirral Race for Life 5k race was held in Birkenhead Park on Sunday 4th June. Over 5000 women came together and walked, jogged or ran the 5km course to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Supporting this worthy cause and representing Ellesmere Port RC Alison Hughes and Alison McDonald were the first and second ladies to cross the line, an outstanding performance in such a large field.
