Three club members took part in the Sale 10 mile road race on Sundays 3rd August. This flat, four lap course is renowned for its fast times. Leading the club home and the stand out performance of the day was once again Graham Earlam with a time of 1:00:42. Smashing the clubs V50 record and just missing first place by 8 sec in the vet 50 age group. Next home was Stephen Laker with a time of 1:01:53, completing the line up and his second race in two days was Mark Dodd with a time of 1:03:43.
The winner was Newham Essex Beagles member Stephen Hepples with a time of 49:09. The Women's race was won by Sue Harrison from Leamington C & A Club with a time of 57:50.
Bramhall Park 5k
Chris Marshall and Mark Dodd decided to make the trip to Bramhall Park, Stockport to take part in Bramhall Park 5k, this is a free race to enter and is used by many as a training opportunity. Mark Dodd was first home in forth place with a time of 18:44, followed by Chris Marshall (19:56).
The winner was Rob Downs from Wilmslow running club with a time of 17:09, with the women's race won by Trentham Running club member Lynne Callaghan with a time of 19:58.
