Wrexham AC were the hosts and provided a 4 mile course which they use as a loop within their village bakery half marathon.
In the senior men's age category Buckley's Clive West had already sown up first place the previous round, however three runners where still in contention for the runners up spot with Ellesmere Port RC's Steve Crowe lying fourth just a few points behind Wrexham's Darren Jones and Abergele Harriers Darren Blazier but with the knowledge that the two Welshmen had just raced the London Marathon four days earlier.
After producing his highest finishing position of 9 th for the series Steve was first runner home for the club in a time of 22.04 and managed to move up and secure 3 rd position overall.
Ian Cooper who had already secured a very impressive 3 rd overall in the Vet 40's category behind two quality runners, Mike Stanley of Wallasey AC and West Cheshire's Graham McNeil, finished the night just a second behind Steve in 22.05 for 10 th place.
Simon Jeffs was the next runner home for the club and continues his impressive form following his first marathon last weekend by securing 24 th position in 22.37
Tony Hyland was the 4 th runner home for the club and also produced a quick time of 22.56 on the back of the marathon to take 33 rd position and picking up a trophy for 8 th overall in the senior men's category. Tony was immediately followed by Denis Duret who was the 5 th runner home securing 34 th place.
Matt Whitfield was next home for the club after negotiating the course in a time of 24.14 to secure 79 th position.
Peter Jones was the next runner home for the club in 103 rd position and was immediately followed by John Jennings 104 th and club chairman Dave Nalder in 105 th position.
Danny Legg who eased around the course due to a calf injury was next home for EPRC finishing the race in 111 th place and just a few seconds ahead of Gary Richards whose gradually making his way back after an ongoing injury, Gary finished 115 th in 25.59.
Alan Durston was the next runner home for the club in a good time of 26.45 for 132 nd position and will look to enter a few races now to keep his improvement going.
Peter Geoghegan running his first race for the club in almost a year following a break was next runner home finishing in 27.05 for 140 th position but should move back up the pecking order once his fitness returns.
The final male runner to cross the line for the club was Les Fleetwood who finished 142 nd in 27.08. Les was also in action on Sunday, participating in the Croxteth Park 10K, Liverpool where Les finished 78 th in a time of 42.48
The woman's team was made up of Ellesmere Port's very own A-Team with three Alison's present at the start.
First lady home for the club was Alison Macdonald who tackled the course in a time of 28.00 to secure 163 rd position. Alison Routledge was the second runner home after securing 200 th position and was followed in shortly afterwards by Alison Hughes who completed the scoring finishing in 204 th position in a time of 30.41.
