It was a record breaking weekend for Ellesmere Port Running Club when the frighteningly fast Edd Flynn completed the Alsager 5 Miles Race in 25:43 smashing the all time club record for the distance set in July 2006 by Steven Crowe!
The club was lucky enough to be represented at the Cross Country Scottish Masters on Saturday and a massive congratulations to Carol Parsons who managed to secure a bronze medal on the day!
A mass turnout for the Mad Dog 10k on Sunday with many members running their personal bests including Ian Hart 50:08 and Angela Best completing the distance in 56:24!
There was some strong performances from the ladies including Rebecca Wright completing in 50:51, Julie Winstanley 54:36, Sharon Fraser 58:06, Katie Horswill 58:14, the inseparable Graham and Mairead Dyke finished in 58:23, Ann Ball 58:26, Zoe Sirett and Victoria Henshaw finished together in 1:02.
Congratulations also to Joanne Cook who took on the Wyre Forest Trail half marathon and finished in 2:35 even though there was an extra bit of distance added on and a challenging terrain to battle!
