We have two Club Championships, The Road Championship and Offroad Championship. In both Championships we have a Male and Female winner.

The Club Championships are points-based awards.  Points being gained from the following races:

Road Championships:

January – 4 Villages Half Marathon

February –Borders League

March – Borders League and Chester 10K

April – Borders and Chester Spring 5 miles

May – Chester Half Marathon

June – Colshaw Hall 10k

July – Wilmslow Summer 10k

August – Mid Cheshire 5k

September – Halewood 5K

October – Borders League and Chester Marathon + Metric Marathon

November – Borders League

December – Borders League

Off-Road Championships:

January – Cheshire XC Champs & Northern XC Champs

February – NW XC –

March – Pipe Dream Race Conwy and L&D XC

April – Llangollen Fell Race

May – Excalibur Mara, Half & 10k

June – Deestriders Offroad GP and Moel-y-Gamelin

July – Deestriders Offroad GP

August – Deestriders Offroad GP and Race the Train

September – Deestriders Offroad GP and Wirral Multi Terrain – Every Tue in Sep

October – NW XC & L&D XC

November – NW XC & L&D XC

December – NW XC & L&D XC

Please note that some of the races in the Off-Road Championships may have mandatory kit lists. Please see the websites for details.

Dates for all Borders and XC races will be confirmed and communicated once the new season fixtures are released later in the year. If any races are cancelled more than 30 days before the race takes place, the Committee will try to find a suitable replacement race. Any races cancelled within 30 days will be removed from the Championships and no points awarded. No further races will be added to the above list. Standings will be updated and published on the club website monthly. Good Luck!

Points are awarded based on finish position for the top 15 male and female finishers in each Championship:

• 1st – 25 points
• 2nd – 20 points
• 3rd – 16 points
• 4th – 13 points
• 5th – 11 points
• 6th – 10 points
• 7th – 9 points
• 8th – 8 points
• 9th – 7 points
• 10th – 6 point
• 11th – 5 points
• 12th – 4 points
• 13th – 3 points
• 14th – 2 points
• 15th – 1 point.

In addition to this we are adding club Age Group points for the top 5 finishers for each event, for both male and female:

• 1st – 10 points
• 2nd – 7 points
• 3rd – 5 points
• 4th – 3 points
• 5th – 1 point.

For example; a V40 male runner who finished one of the qualifying races in 9th male position and the 3rd EPRC runner in the EPRC male V40 category, would receive:

• Finish Position:  9th – 7 points
• Age Group:  3rd V40 male out of all EPRC V40 male’s who ran – 5 points
• Total: 12 points.

The male and female runners with the most points in each Championship over the whole year will be declared the winners.  The club championship trophies will be awarded at next year’s AGM.
