Welcome

Ellesmere Port Running Club was formerly known as Rivacre Runners & Joggers. We began life in 1986 and from humble beginnings we are now the foremost running club in the ‘Port’ with AN EVERGROWING MEMBERSHIP.

We offer a varied range of running disciplines, road cross-country & multi-terrain. In the winter months we keep to the well lit roads of the town. In summer we can be found in the local country lanes or on the hills of Helsby and Frodsham. As a special treat we even have a jaunt up Moel Famau from time to time, above all we run for a laugh and to support one another!

So if want to improve your fitness, upgrade from another sport, return from injury or your just another running nut, come to one of our training nights.

We meet at the Whitby Sport & Social Club at 6.45 p.m., runs commence at 7.00 p.m. on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. On a Tuesday you can choose to run between 5 and 8 miles and on a Thursday we have a quality session (intervals) plus a five mile run option. No matter what night you come down we always have a back marker, so no one gets left behind.

So why not come along, no qualifications necessary, just the willingness to run or jog as you see fit.
