Training Nights & Why Join?

If your brief is weight control, improve your fitness, upgrade from another sport, return from injury or your just another running nut, come to one of our official training nights held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s or one of the more informal training nights highlighted in summer/winter training. We meet at the Whitby Sport & Social Club at 6.45 p.m., runs commence at 7.00 p.m. So why not come along, no qualifications necessary, just the willingness to run or jog as you see fit. ALL runs will always have a back marker, so NO ONE is left behind! Don’t feel guilty, this is a requisite of the club!

Social

We also have a good social scene with regular none running events like BBQ’s, Xmas parties and any excuse to get everyone from the club together. Many of the club members have made some of their closest lifelong friends at the club. From camping at the Race The Train event to travelling to Amsterdam as a team event for the half and full marathons, we pride ourselves on our team spirit. For the last 5 years, this has included competing in the Welsh Castles  which is a 2 day 20 leg race that separates Caernarfon and Cardiff Castle. This often see’s 20+ team members of all abilities travel over the weekend for team building, competition and socialising.

Beginners night is starting earlier this year due to popular demand. Join us on Monday 22nd January 2018 at 6.45pm at the Whitby Sports & Social Club for a 7pm start.

Training Nights

Monday training 

  • Beginners Night.
  • Meet at 6:45pm Shell Sports & Social Club for 7pm start
Tuesday training

  • Meet at 6:45pm Shell Sports & Social Club for 7pm start
  • Various sessions: 5 Mile, 8 Mile and Quality Session
  • Always a back marker on both 5 & 8 Mile runs
Thursday training

  • Quality training/Intervals
  • Additional 5 mile (approx) run option
  • Always a back marker for the 5 mile run
